Aline Womack Scoggins, 87, a life long resident of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, March 27, 2013. She was born November 16, 1925 to James George Blevins and Cornelia Gann Blevins. She attended Chattanooga Central High School, and during her youth worked in the World War II relief effort and modeled for a local department store. She was a gardener, an avid cook and a gracious hostess who served others with her talents. She loved to sing in the church choir, various trios and quartets. Aline Womack Scoggins, 87, a life long resident of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, March 27, 2013. She was born November 16, 1925 to James George Blevins and Cornelia Gann Blevins.

She attended Chattanooga Central High School, and during her youth worked in the World War II relief effort and modeled for a local department store. She was a gardener, an avid cook and a gracious hostess who served others with her talents. She loved to sing in the church choir, various trios and quartets. She retired as Company Secretary at Service Mattress Company. She was a member of the Hickory Valley Community Church and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was also preceded in death by her spouse of 44 years, Robert Dale Womack and her spouse of 17 years, Alton H. Scoggins, brothers Ralph Edward (Sarah) Blevins and Harold Blevins, sisters-in law Ruth (Barney) Caulfield and Mildred (Elmer) Moxley and brother-in-law Samuel Womack.

Survivors include her sons: Larry Womack and wife Colleen, and Terry Womack and wife Nancy both of Chattanooga; step-daughter Miriam Mills and husband Durwood of Menlo, Ga; grandchildren Holly (Greg) Weaver, Todd (Katie) Womack, Mendy Brooks, and Chris (Brooke) Womack; great-grandchildren Nick, Lauren, Audrey and Lindsey Weaver, Laura Kate, Rebekah, John and Andrew Womack, Grant and Ava Brooks, and Marshall and Madelyn Womack; brother Clyde (Barbara) Blevins; brother-in-law Don (Joyce) Womack and sisters-in-law Sandra Blevins, Martha Neff and Dottie Womack; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 Noon to 2:30 PM on Saturday, March 30, 2013.

The Remembrance of Life Service will follow at 2:30 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Duke Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hickory Valley Community Church, 2201 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
