Mrs. Alvin Schneider, 53, the former Anna Pitz, died suddenly at her home on route 1, Newton, late Tuesday evening. Born on June 21, 1898 in Oshkosh, she married Alvin Schneider on Feb. 10, 1920, and the couple made their home on the present homestead. Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1947
Surviving are eight children; two daughters, Mrs. Herman Wegner of Sheboygan and Mrs. Lambert Brandl of Whitelaw; five sons, Harvey of Cleveland, Roman of route 1, Newton and Reuben, Leon and Leonhardt at home. Also surviving are four brothers, John of Sheboygan Falls, Roman of Milwaukee and Herbert and Carl of Oshkosh; and four sisters, Mrs. John W. Schneider of Cleveland, Mrs. Joseph Salm of New Holstein, Mrs. Jack Kurtz of Milwaukee, and Sister Mariette of Japan. There are seven grandchildren.
Two sisters and her parents also preceded her in death. Mrs. Schneider had been a member of the St. Isadore congregation and the Rosary society in Newton.
