George L. Van Oss, one mile southeast of Ottoville, died at 6:00 am Sunday at his home. He had been ailing for seven years. He was born November 21, 1878 in Delphos, the son of Henry and Catherine Van Oss. Had he lived until November 21, he would have been 72 years of age. In 1904, he was married at the Immaculate Conception Church, Ottoville, to Miss Mary Schmersal, who died July 22, 1949. Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Theodore Van Oss, East Third Street, Mrs. Anna Kaple, Lima, Mrs. Veronica Schlembach, East Third Street, Mrs. Elizabeth Vincke, Ottoville, and Joseph Van Oss, North Main St. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish, Ottoville.
