Ottoville Lady Called

Mrs. Joseph Schurer Rites Held Saturday

Mrs. Joseph Schurer, former resident of Ottoville, died in St. Rita's hospital, Lima, Wednesday morning. She had been ill for one month but pneumonia was the immediate cause of her demise.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Van Oss and was born in Minster on August 18, 1871. She moved to Delphos with her parents when a child and several years later moved to Ottoville. She was married to Joseph Schurer at Ottoville in 1915.

She is survived by her husband, a foster daughter, Mary Lou Schaffner, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Kaple, Lima; Mrs. William Schlenbach, Delphos and Mrs. George Vincke, Ottoville; and three brothers, Theodore, George and Joseph Van Oss, Ottoville.

Funeral services were held in the Immaculate Conception church, Saturday morning at nine o'clock and burial was made in the parish cemetery.
