Funeral services for Martin Hofer, 56, will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the Zion Mennonite church with the Rev. Melvin Koehn and the Rev. Peter Tschetter officiating.

The body will lie in state at the Engbrecht Funeral Home Monday night with the prayer service at 8 o'clock. The Morris-Weber-Solem American Legion Post 111 will have charge of the graveside rites.

Mr. Hofer was born Feb. 11, 1915 at Bridgewater to Mr. and Mrs. William M. Hofer and died April 9 at a Omaha hospital where he had been hospitalized for the past six months. On Aug. 8, 1953 he married Clara Teske in Chicago. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II and flew several missions over Europe.

Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Debra) Brennell, St. Louis, Mo.; a grandchild; two brothers, Edmund and Mike, Bridgewater; and seven sisters, Anna Hofer and Mrs. William Rinehart, Bridgewater; Mrs. Ed Glanzer and Mrs. John E. Waldner, Carpenter; Mrs. Carl Miller, Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Susie Erb, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mrs. Ralph Handwerk, Marion.
