Obituary From The Anniston Star newspaper:

"Funeral services for Sandra Whiteside Nance, 63, will be Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Post Oak Springs Baptist Church with Rev Jason Teal, Rev. Dr. Deryl Wood and Rev. Dr. Barry Howard officiating. The family will receive friends at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Saturday from 6-8 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Post Oak Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Nance died Friday, 7 November, 2008 at her residence.

Mrs. Nance was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and was a devoted mother, nana, sister and aunt. Mrs. Nance was a member of Post Oak Springs Baptist Church, the church clerk, Sunday School Teacher-Bereans Class and a J.C.O.C. volunteer. She taught elementary school for 27 years at Constantine, Norwood, Weaver, Cedar Springs and Pleasant Valley. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emerson and Mary Morgan Whiteside and her sister Charlotte Capps. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial gifts be made to Jacksonville Christian Outreach Center, P.O. Box 164, Jacksonville, AL 36265.
