Catherine Marie McComb was the third daughter of Joseph McComb and Catherine March. Her mother died when she was only one year old. She married Hugh Sharp Tannahill in 1885 in Godmanchester, where she had lived all her life. To this union were born five children, Mary Ethel, Margaret Catherine, Janet Lamb, William George and Westlake. She died in 1893 at the age of 31.
