The son of Bernard and Catherine (Heitkamp) Kemper, he was born December 19, 1903 in St. Henry.
On January 25, 1928, he married Florentina Borgerding, who survives and is residing in Santa Ana, California with their daughter.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Treva Kuaile, Mrs. Thelma Reier, and Mrs. Mary Miller; 17 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Catherine Borger, Mrs. Mary Langenkamp, Mrs. Elizabeth Langenkamp and Mrs. Annie Langenkamp; and a brother, Anthony Kemper. Four brothers are deceased.
A retired carpenter, Mr. Kemper was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Services will be held at 9:30 am Saturday in the Holy Rosary church with Rev. Anselm Boeke officiating. Internment will be in Gethsemane cemetery.
