Anita Hildner of Frankenmuth, Michigan, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Lutheran Home of Frankenmuth; age 91 years. Anita Bickel was born on May 2, 1922 in Frankenmuth, MI to the late Otto F. and Agnes (Bierlein) Bickel. She was married to Harold Hildner on June 28, 1941; he preceded her in death on January 19, 1999. Anita had been employed in Saginaw by the Morley family, and as a cook at St. Lorenz Lutheran School. She was a volunteer at the Lutheran Home for many years as a seamstress. Anita attended school in Frankenmuth up until the 10th grade, after which time she helped raise her family. She later received her high school diploma at age 70.

Surviving are; 3 sons, Tim (Bonnie) Hildner of Frankenmuth, MI, Tom (Nancy) Hildner of Bozeman, MT, Jack (Bonnie) Hildner of Riverton, WY; grandchildren, Nathan Hildner, Erin (Jason) Roenicke, Rachelle (Richard) Galsterer, Cori Baker, Nicole Baker, Travis Baker, Kate Hildner, Mike (Jill) Hildner, Paul Hildner; great grandchildren, Audrey Roenicke, Zachary Hildner, Breanna Hildner, Kiara Hildner, Rhylan Hildner; 1 great great grandchild, Jocelyn Hildner; brothers and sisters, Marie Creger, Gertrude Maves, Lenore Frank, Wallace Bickel, Fran Warnemuende, and many nieces and nephews.

Anita was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Leidel, and a brother, Edward Bickel.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 10:15 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. and 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Rev. Gary Bender will officiate with burial between services in St. Lorenz Lutheran Cemetery. Anita's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Music Fund or St. Lorenz Student Aid Fund.
