WYNNE -- Charles "Roland" Loyd, 60, of Wynne died Thursday, Sept. 11, at CrossRidge Community Hospital in Wynne.
Born in Vanndale, he was a self-employed mechanic and surveyor. He farmed in Cross County and attended the Assembly of God. He had lived in Cross and St. Francis counties all of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Loyd of Wynne; two sons, Ricky Loyd and Harold Loyd, both of Wynne; three daughters, Dianna Jackson and Tammy Meeler, both of Wynne, and Sherry Brown of Fayetteville; one sister, Katherine Rolland of Vanndale; three brothers, Elmer Loyd and Marvin Loyd, both of Wynne, and Russell Lloyd of Hickory Ridge; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Danny Loyd; his parents, Elmer White Loyd and Hazel V. Jones Loyd; and one brother.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne. Burial will follow in Barnishaw Cemetery at Pine Tree.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
