JoAnn Pierri, 54, of Pocono Pines, died Wednesday morning, March 14, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. She was the wife of Angelo J. Pierri.
Born on April 26, 1952 in Kingston, NY, she was a daughter of the late John and Marilyn (Maines) Melnik and lived in Monroe County for over 20 years moving from Ocean County, NJ.
JoAnn was assistant to her husband, the Pastor of Light of the World Church in Stroudsburg.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Melissa Mazza and her husband Robert, of Toms River, NJ and Heather Hauger and her husband Jarrod, of Pocono Pines; a son, David Pierri, at home; a granddaughter, Samantha Mazza and a sister, Holly Decker, of Albany, NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Jordan Mazza.
