She was born February 9, 1941 in Frankfort, IN, and lived in this area most of her life She was a hairdresser and owner & operator of Suzy's Beauty Salon She was a 1958 graduate of Madison Heights High School in Anderson She was a member of Kingston Avenue Baptist Church in Anderson, where she was involved in the church choir and belonged to Kingston Clowns. Also a member of the Women's Bowling League, and she loved to paint and garden
She is survived by her husband of 44 yrs., Dwayne Stapleton, Sons: David Stapleton of Mt. Olive, NC, Daniel Stapleton of Cincinnati, OH and Donald Stapleton of Anderson; her mother, Margaret Clausen Kirk; Brother: Mike wife, Brenda Kirk of Anderson; Grandchildren: Elliott, Amanda, John Paul, Daniel and Dallas; and one great grandchild, Bailey; several nieces, nephews; special friends, Jack & Jan Baker; and caregivers, Jackie Ellingwood, Mary Brand, and Judy Myers
She was preceded in death by her father, John F. Kirk
Services October 11, 2004 at Kingston Avenue Baptist Church, 5403 Kingston Ave., Anderson, Indiana, with Pastor Brad Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson
