She was born June 7, 1918 in Delphi, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana most of her life.
She retired in 1972 from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors after 27 years of service.
She was a member of Kingston Avenue Baptist Church. She loved to garden, crochet, fish and she kept a spotless house.
She is survived by one son: Mike & wife Brenda Kirk of Anderson. Son-in-law: Dwayne Stapleton of Anderson. Seven Grandchildren: Kim Bargo of Anderson, Jamie Kirk of Atlanta, Georgia, David Stapleton of North Carolina, Dan Stapleton of Cincinnati, Ohio, Don Stapleton of Anderson, Eric Buxton & Stacie of Daleville and Kelly Buxton of Fishers. Several Great Grandchildren, One Great Great Granddaughter, Several Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: John F. Kirk on March 31, 1992. Daughter: Sandra ''Susie'' Stapleton on October 7, 2004. Parents: Mr. & Mrs. John Clawson.
Services will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Pastor Brad Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
Visitation will be from 11-1:00 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2005 at funeral home, south chapel.
