Regina was the daughter of August and CeCelia Bauer Volk of Germany. She married Adam Meder on 22 November 1887 in Wood County. Living near the village of Haskins, they raised five children: Mary(1888), Celia(1890), Clara(1891), Leo(1894), and Lawrence(1899). Regina immigrated in 1881 with her parents, and in 1900, her mother, Celia Volk, was living with them. Regina died at the early age of 45.

Dr. Biggs, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Adam Meder went to Toledo Thursday where the latter was operated upon at St. Vincent's hospital Friday for the removal of a tumor. The operation was thought to be a success and reports from the bedside of Mrs. Meder up to Monday was all that Could be expected, but about 12 o'clock Monday night Dr. Biggs received word from the hospital that a change for the worse was noticed and about 3:30 o'clock yesterday morning she passed away, death being due to acute dilation of the heart.
She leaves a husband, three daughters and two sons to mourn her loss. She was aged 45 years, 6 months and 10 days. Funeral will be held tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon from the St. Louis Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Schritz officiating. - Custar News.
