Conrad Litzenberger, born December 23, 1869, at Schoerfeld, Russia passed away suddenly Tuesday morning, November 5,1946, at his home in Garden City. His life covered a period of 76 years, 10 months, and 13 days.
In early childhood he was baptized in the Christian faith and later was confirmed and became a member of the Reformed Church. In 1891 he was united in holy wedlock with Kathryn Elizabeth Orschlett, this union was blessed with thirteen children.his wife and three children preceded him in death. In 1908 Mr.Litzenberger and his family immigrated to this country and made there home in Ptis, Kansas. Later the family moved to Ness County and then to Garden City.until he retired in Garden City on 1938, Mr.Litzenberger had been actively engaged in farming. He is survived by five sons and five daughters; August of Jetmore, Alex of Rozel, Mrs. Lydia Daubert of Scott City,, Mrs.Sophia Radke and Mrs.Kathryn Cranston of Garden City, Mrs. Hanna Schlegel of Alamota, Henry of Garden City, Conrad of Ness City, Karl of Alamota and Mrs.Leah Martin of Garden City; forty-three grandchildren and one great grandchild; and many other relatives and friends.
