Mary Agnes Tholen, 79, Grinnell, died Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Gove County Medical Center, Quinter. She was born July 8, 1933, to John and Mary (Eilers) Wolf in Gove County.

She married Leslie Tholen on June 14, 1955. He preceded her in death.

She was the postmaster in Grinnell for more than 30 years.

Survivors include a daughter, June (Clair) Bender, Plains; two sons, Randy (Phyllis) Tholen, Grinnell, and Mike (Lisa) Tholen, Fowlerville, Mich.; a son-in-law, Kenny Zerr, Tribune; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lori Zerr; two sisters, Elizabeth Sheesley and Theresa Tholen; and a brother, George Wolf.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Grinnell; burial to follow in church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Parish Center, Grinnell, with a vigil service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care, Quinter, in care of Baalmann Mortuary, P.O. Box 204, Oakley, KS 67748.
