Zuma Sutton was born September 6, 1920 to Nettie and Hubert McMullan. She passed away February 15, 2009 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 9 days.
Zuma grew up in and around Erick, Oklahoma. In 1942 she started raising her family with the addition of Billy David Sutton and added to that with Frankie Lee in 1948. Zuma raised both of her children in the church and was very active in the church and teaching Sunday school and Bible School classes. Zuma enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Billy David Sutton, a great grandson Zackary Adams and a brother Jack McMullan.
She is survived by her son, Frankie Lee Sutton & wife, Cathy, Sitka, AK; daughter-in-law, Gail Sutton, Sweetwater, OK; 5 grandchildren, Dwana Davis & husband, Darrell, Hazel Green, AL, Twila Adams & husband, Larry, Kingfisher, OK, Sonny Sutton and partner, Jennifer Cox, Sweetwater, OK, Matthew Sutton, Nampa, ID, and Amy Sutton, Sitka, AK; 2 great grandchildren, Jami Adams and Cassidy Adams, both of Kingfisher, OK; 1 brother, J.W. McMullan & wife, Billie, Amarillo, TX; 1 close cousin, Ola Mae Coop and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral Service Saturday February 21, 2009, 2:00 pm at Buffalo Baptist Church.
