He married Bette House on April 7, 1945, in Lyons. He was a farmer and rancher in the Grover, Lyons and Sedalia areas. He also operated Castle Rock Feed and Supply the past 30 years. He was a member of the Colorado Cattle Association, Douglas-Elbert County Cattlemen, Quarter Horse Association, Young Farmers and Homemakers, Sunflower Grange and the Douglas County Fair board for many years. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robb of Carbondale and Ron of Colorado Springs; his mother, Henrietta of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; three sisters, Dorothy Putman of Gainsville, Texas, Marjorie Gross of Fountain Hills, and Shirley Griffin of Tucson; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
