George Schmunk of King City, a retired sales manager for May Hardware in
Portland, died of
a heart attack Friday while on a visit to Mesa, Ariz. He was 75.
Mr. Schmunk was born in Fort Collins, Colo., and had lived in the Portland
area since 1942.
He retired in 1977. He was a member of Ebenezer Congregational Church.
Survivors include his wife, Anna; two sons, Ed Schmunk, Troutdale, and Elmer
Schmunk,
Portland; two daughters, Elaine Brunmeier, Gresham, and La-Verne Spears, St.
Helens; a
stepson, Cordell Ketterling, Mesa, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Elaine Jenks,
Milwaukie; two
brothers, Jake and Adam Schmunk, both of Fort Collins; a sister, Marie
Peppler, Longmont,
Colo.; and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Ross Hollywood Chapel, with burial
in Rose City
