John Raymond Linsmeier, 70, of Los Angeles, Calif., passed away on June, 18, 2012, at his home. John was born July 12, 1941.
The eldest of seven, John graduated from Menominee High School, class of 59, and followed his dream to Hollywood, Calif. John found success in Wardrobe for hits including; "The Little Rascals," "Models Inc," and "Life Goes On." John felt fortunate to work with industry heavy-weight Aaron Spelling and practice his craft with Johnny Depp, the King Family, Jim Nabors, and Terry Gilliam. His expertise crossed from "celluloid to stage" in Broadway productions featuring Pattie LuPone and Anthony Newley. It was John's innovative costume work with The Jackson Five, however, that earned him global recognition.
John is survived, loved and missed by his mother, Lorraine Linsmeier of Menominee, Mich.; two sisters: Jean (Joseph) Truitt of Stephenson, Mich. and Nancy Christenson of Phoenix, Ariz.; three brothers: Raymond (Bonnie) Linsmeier of Menominee, Mich., James (Mary) Linsmeier of Kingsford, Mich. and Richard (Betty) Linsmeier of Menominee, Mich.; 12 proud nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Linsmeier and sister, Sandra Linsmeier.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson, Mich. on Saturday, July 28, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Graveside services will be held in Birch Creek Cemetery in Birch Creek, Mich. at 11 a.m.
