Services for Joseph Zelnio, 86, of 900 Crosstown Square, Silvis, formerly of Moline, are 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Moline, where he was a member. Burial is in St. Mary's
Cemetery, East Moline.
Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a Christian wake service at 6:30. Memorials may be made to the church.
Mr. Zelnio died Saturday, Nov. 29, 1997, at home.
He was born July 5, 1911, in Moline, to Dyzmo and Maria Iwanowski Zelnio. He married Bernice M. Kilgore June 1, 1944, in Moline. Bernice died Dec. 30, 1982. He married Lucille De Bisschop July 27, 1985, in Moline. Lucille
died Nov. 29, 1988.
He was employed as a manufacturing engineer at John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline, retiring Aug. 1, 1976, after 42 years.
He was a member of John Deere Harvester Supervisors Club, Polish National Alliance, Mississippi Valley Wood Carvers Association, John Deere Supervisors Retiree Club, and American Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
Survivors include brothers Stanley, Anthony and Witold Zelio, all of Moline, and Walter Zelnio, Geneseo.
