DEDHAM, IA. — Services for Antoinette "Nettie" Stangl, 108, Carroll County's oldest citizen, who died of a heart ailment Monday at Carroll Health Center Nursing Home, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at St. Joseph's Church. She was a homemaker and had been a member of St. Joseph's Church, St. Joseph's Guild and Sacred Heart Court 454 of Catholic Daughters of America. Survivors include four daughters, Mary Kay Mendez and Caroline Smith, both of Holly, Mich., Alice Claire Brodie of Los Angeles, Calif., and Janet Stam of Knoxville; two sons, Oswald "Barney" of Knoxville and Patrick of Ottumwa; 46 grandchildren; 162 great-grandchildren; 114 great-great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-great grandchildren.
Ohde Funeral Home in Manning is handling arrangements.
