Hazel "Grannee" Sears, 83, of Trenton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Middletown, Ohio, on Sept. 17, 1917, and was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Sears was deli manager at McGee's Supermarket for many years. She was leader of TOPS #549 for 33 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmonte "Del" Sears in 1985; her parents, Charles E. Soule Sr. and Anna (Helton) Soule; and two sisters, Jean Reis and Helen Soule. She leaves a son, Charles "Bud" Sears (Juanita) of Middletown; a daughter, Christine "Pinky" Osborne of Middletown; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Christine Semmler (Charles) of Monroe and Joyce Kramer of Middletown; two brothers, Malcolm Soule (Joyce) and Charles Soule Jr., both of Middletown; and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many very close friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home, 1500 Manchester Ave., Middletown, with Keih Spencer officiating. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery in Trenton.
