Born April 11, 1919, in Hamlin, TX, Lola was a daughter of the late Antonio and Lucia (Arzola) Gonzalez. Lola was a lifelong resident of Hamlin and moved to Sweetwater in 2007. She married Saturino "Tony" Martinez on April 3, 1989 in Hamlin. Lola loved to sew and bake. She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Rotan. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers (Filberto, Ben and Frank Gonzalez), and two sisters (Cecilia G. Romero and Clara Garcia). Lola will be greatly missed. She touched so many people with her loving and contagious smile, wit, and love of life.
Lola is survived by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Guillermo Gonzalez of Carlsbad, NM, Eugene and Gregoria Gonzalez of Hamlin, and Antonio and Ruth Gonzalez of Odessa; caretaker and loving niece, Esther Gonzalez of Roby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
