She was born November 2, 1930 at Alexandria, South Dakota to Charles and Ann (Lunn) Pitts. She attended the Pleasant # 4 Elementary school and graduated from Farmer High School. Margaret attended Nettleton Commercial College with a degree in Secretarial and Bookkeeping. She also attended South Dakota State and Huron College with a degree in Home Economics. Margaret worked at Plainsco, Crane Supply, Crane & Ordway and Citibank while living in Sioux Falls. Margaret also helped with the family farming operations on the week-ends and vacation time at the Pitts home place in Wayne Township.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Frances Pitts of Faulkton, SD several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Russell, Everett, Francis (Sid) and Dwight Pitts.
