Died peacefully at home in Houston, Texas, surrounded by her family. Born on her parents' farm near Garber, Oklahoma, the third child of Emil and Katharine Evers. Married George Masterson on January 22, 1949, in Oklahoma City during a blizzard so bad that neither of their parents could attend. Preceded in death by her husband, George; parents; and brother, George. Dorothy is survived by her son and his wife; and three daughters plus two sons-in-law; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Also survived by her two sisters and a brother-in-law; as well as her three brothers and a sister-in-law; and another sister-in-law; plus numerous loving and beloved nieces and nephews and their children. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper in Oklahoma City.
