GERING - Funeral arrangements for Katie Groskopf Kissler, 85, of 1530 Seventh St., Gering, who died Saturday in a Gering nursing home, are pending at Jolliffe Funeral Home at Scottsbluff.
She was born Dec 26, 1892, at Frank, Russia, and came to the United States in 1907. She lived at Fort Morgan, Colo., until 1920, when she moved to the Gering Valley area. She farmed with her family in the Valley most of her life.
She was a member of Salem Congregational Church in Scottsbluff.
Survivors include sons Jake Groskopf, Carl Groskopf and William Groskopf, all of Gering; daughters Mrs. Lena Deitz, Mrs. Freida Heiter and Mrs. Esther Carter, all of Portland, Ore.; 29 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three husbands and two sons.
