Mass of Christian Burial for Paul P. Campana, 89, of Madison, also known as the friendliest man in Madison, will be 1 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison.
Mr. Campana passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, at Cardinal Woods Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Madison.
Born Jan. 6, 1919, in Painesville, he was the son of Lucy (Battista) and Carmen Campana.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and enjoyed gardening, fishing, dancing and baseball.
Mr. Campana worked as a shipping clerk at IRC Fibers for 30 years, retiring in 1980.
Survivors are his wife of 59 years, Mary (Szabo) Campana, whom he married June 25, 1949, in Fairport Harbor; two sons, Carmen (Wendy) Campana of Perry and Joseph (Deborah) Campana of Geneva; two sisters, Angela Lucrezi of Painesville and Edith Katona of Perry; brother, Michael of Michigan; three grandsons, Jason, Brad and Brendan; and great-granddaughter, Haliegh.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at The Behm Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 26 River St., Madison. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery.
