He was married to Caroline Anna GLASS also born Germany. Her maiden name may also be Vass, Vauss, Gaus, etc. She was last seen on the 1880 census, age 52, Tridelphia.

Their children are Caroline Frederika,Wilhelm/ William G. A. , Frederick, Henry David, John Conrad, and Mary E.

An Old Time Pioneer is Gone.
He left us Tuesday afternoon at 4:50 at the old homestead in Stackyard Hollow. Friedrich Bayha was a well-known German pioneer. He was 81 years old..
Mr. Bayha was born 3 March 1826 in Plieningen-Stuttgart, Wurttemberg, and came to America as a young man in 1849, settling in Wheeling. In July 1852 he met Caroline Glass. She was born in his hometown and immigrated to Wheeling. They married and had seven children, five sons and two daughters. Three sons and their mother have died. Living are Mr. Henry D. Bayha, the President of the Butcher's Association, Mr. John E. Bayha who works for the Schenks Company, and Mrs. Carl Seidler and Mrs. William Baker live in town. His sister, Mrs. Christine Schumacher lives in Evansville, Indiana..
Mr. Bayha has lived here since he came to America and he was very well known. He worked as a butcher for 20 years. He was one of the oldest members of the St. Jakobus Group and he was the president of the school and church in town. He also was active in a health group..
The funeral will be Thursday afternoon a 3 P.M. starting from his home. Mr. Chaplain Werder will lead the ceremony. The interment will be at the Peninsula Cemetery.

His death certificate gives his residence as Stockyard Hollow, informant was John Bayha. He is listed as widowed.
