Roland E. "Rollie" Woelfel, 69 of 920 7th St., Kiel died Thursday afternoon, Jan. 24, 2002 at his home. He was born June 11, 1932, in St. Anna, son of the late Arnold and Verena Hoffmann Woelfel. On May 5, 1951 he married Marie Schneider at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. He was an avid year-round fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Marie, three children, Mary Jane (Gerald) Vogel, Kiel, Steven D. (Karen) Woelfel, Kiel and JoAnne Woelfeland Special friend Joel Wisman Sheboygan, six grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters and brother, Delores Schad, Chilton, Leroy (Janice) Woelfel, Kiel, Shirley (Robert) ??, Texas. He was preceded in death by one brother, Louis.
Private family services were held at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel, who are in charge of arrangements. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
