Funeral services will be held Friday, October 4, 2013 at a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Reonauld "Roe" Comeaux, age 88, who passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 8:40 a.m. at his residence in Carencro.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Andre Metrejean, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Mr. Comeaux was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro. He was a self employed barber since 1949. He was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the Bonne Mort Society, Sacred Heart League and Woodmen of the World Lodge 241.
Survivors include his wife, Annabel Faul Comeaux of Carencro; three daughters, Janice Comeaux Farris, of Austin, TX, Nancy Comeaux Hebert and her husband, Michael "Mickey", of Lafayette and Mollie Comeaux of Carencro; one brother, Peter Ricks Comeaux and his wife, Barbara, of Rayne; one sister, Rose C. LeBlanc of Carencro; five grandchildren, Danielle Kirsch Cormier and her husband, Gabe, Lexi Kirsch Duhon, Brittany Farris, Michael Hebert and Kaleb Mims; three great grandchildren, Landon Ross Duhon, Dru Gabriel Cormier and Ty Thomas Cormier; one step-granddaughter, and three step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Esta Comeaux and the former Arsene Hebert; and one son-in-law, Larry Farris.
Pallbearers will be Michael Paul Hebert, Michael Myles Hebert, Gabriel Cormier, David Comeaux, Logan Prejean, James Faul and Carlos Stout. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaleb Mims, Easton Faul, Lee R. Faul, Ricks Comeaux and Darrell Sibille.
Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
