OSTRY _ Anne (nee Lev) The family of Anne Ostry sadly announces her death on
March 27, 2007. Born February 17, 1925, in Winnipeg, Anne grew up in the
north end before venturing to Los Angeles where she worked in radiology. She
returned to Manitoba where she married George, who was to become the most
devoted of husbands. They later moved to Flin Flon, and in 1963 settled in
Vancouver. In December, surrounded by family, they celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary. Anne met the challenge of chronic illness with
fortitude, spirit and endless perseverance. The focus of her life was always
her family. Her unconditional love and energy will be sadly missed. She was
predeceased by her parents Abraham and Eda Lev, and her sister Eve Werier.
She is survived by her loving husband George; sons ...
daughters-in-law ...; grandchildren ...; siblings ..., along with numerous nieces and
nephews. The family would like to thank the health care professionals of
Ward 2B, UBC Hospital, especially Ock Sook, Vincia, Cecilia, Pam, Lyra,
Roselin, Ralyn, Farrah and Brenda. Services will be held on Thursday, March
29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1721 Willingdon Ave.,
Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your
choice.
