Being born in a loving and Christian family, she confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was united with the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Zama, Mississippi until her death.
On Monday, September 11, 1989, at 4:2O a.m. she departed this life at University Medical Center, Jackson, Mississippi.
She is survived by one daughter, Norma Kern; two sons, Charles Kern and Jerry Kern, all presently residing in Jackson, Mississippi; two sisters, Nannie Mae Nash and Lucille Kern, both of Kosciusko, Mississippi; one brother, Lester Kern of Kosciusko, Mississippi; two grandchildren, Padrein and Tekeshi Kern; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
