Richard W. "Dick" Krcmar of McHenry Visitation for Richard W. "Dick" Krcmar, 61, will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm St., McHenry. The funeral and burial rite will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 31, at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 3706 W. St. Paul's Ave., McHenry, with the Rev. J. Joe Dunlap officiating. Born April 18, 1943, in Chicago, the son of George and Catherine (nee Burza) Krcmar, he died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at home. On July 19, 1969, he married Nancy J. Platt at Prince of Peace Episcopal Church in Lake Villa. Formerly of Fox River Valley Gardens, he moved to the McHenry area in the late 1960s. He enjoyed a 35-year career in the telecommunications industry, working for Illinois Bell in the 1970s, then Sanbar Corporation, Telepath Corporation, SummaFour, and AllTel. The past 15 years he worked at Valcom, where he was international sales manager. He was a veteran of the Army, having volunteered for service in the Vietnam War. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 4600 in McHenry. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; mother, Catherine Krcmar of Port Barrington; brother, Wayne Krcmar of Port Barrington; sister, Eloise (Dale) Altergott of Wauconda; nephew, Michael; nieces, Angela, Katie Jo and Mary Helen; and great-nephew, Kyle. He was preceded in death by his father, George; and brother, Robert. Memorials to Pets in Need, 4509 S. Ridgeway Road, Ringwood, IL 60072, or the V.O.T.K.
