well be held for Maxine M. Delaney, 93 who
passed away October 30, 2013 in Gridley.

Maxine was born on March 22, 1920, in Artoris, California. She was the daughter of George Oscar Lovett and Anna Marie Bay Lovett. Maxine moved to Gridley from Oakland in 1952 and worked as a bookkeeper at Bremer Hardware for 18 years and then worked summers at Libby's Cannery until she was 80 years old. She was known for knitting afghans and baby blankets for friends and family totaling over 1,200 blankets. Maxine was an active member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved singing in the choir.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and George.
She is survived by one sister, Emma Grundman, 99 years old, and her only child, Dianna Stewart and her son-in-law, Arnie Stewart, of Gridley and she was a beloved Nana to her grandchildren, Scott and Cheri Stewart, of Lincoln, California, Steven and Silja Stewart of Lohja, Finland, Brian and Leslie Stewart, of Clearfield, Utah, Stephanie and Matthew Zentner, of Dumfries, Virginia, and Evan and Samantha Stewart, of Gridley, California. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, four nieces and one nephew.
