  William Snajdr, Sr., of 133 Brown street, an agent for the Valley View cemetery, died Tuesday evening at St. Joseph hospital in Alton.
  He was born Sept. 28, 1874, in Vicinka, Czechoslovakia, and had attained the age of 75 years, 10 months and 11 days. He was the son of the late John and Mary Snajdr. He came to this country in 1892. He married Miss Mary Trekar who preceded him in death in April, 1949.
  He is survived by three sons, William Jr., Charles and Edward; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Burle of this city, three brothers, Frank, Thomas and John of Czechoslovakia; one sister, Mrs. Mary Albrecht of Glen Carbon; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
  He was a member of the Kajetan Tyl lodge at Glen Carbon and was president of the Czechoslovakia Society of America and one of the organizing members of the T.J. Sokol lodge.
  Friends may call at the Straube funeral home after 12 o'clock noon Thursday until Friday at 2 o'clock when services will be held with the lodge in charge.
  Interment will be in Valley View cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joseph and William Volma, Frank Pour, Sr., Alois Fiala, Steve Ontko, Sr., and Frank Smoltz, Sr.
