LeRoy John "Brownie" Kisner, 53, Topeka, died of natural causes Wednesday, April 26, 1989 at a local hospital.
He had been ill for some time. Mr. Kisner was a special representative for Santa Fe Railroad Freight Claim and Quality Control Division.
He was born Jan. 17, 1936 in Topeka, the son of Joseph G. and Rose Reb Kisner.
He was a lifetime resident of Topeka. Mr. Kisner was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council No. 2608.
He was married to Wanda Walker Jan. 16, 1960 in Perry. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Tony Kisner, Topeka; a daughter, Roxanne Milner, Topeka; a brother, Joseph C. Kisner, Topeka; and his parents, Joseph G. and Rose Kisner, Topeka.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Kisner will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. today at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, where rosaries will be recited by the parish at 7:30 p.m. and by the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2608 at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the LeRoy Kisner Scholarship Fund at Washburn University, designated for the children of Santa Fe employees.
