Caroline Brothe; Dec. 9 1917 -- June 11, 2008; Age 90; Residence: Greeley
Caroline Brothe was born in Keota to Pete and Pauline (Schreiner) Kanzler, She grew up in eastern Colorado and moved to Evans in 1954.
On Feb. 2, 1939, she married William A. Brothe. On Oct. 20, 1949, she married David Herman Brothe. She was a homemaker all her life.
Mrs. Brothe was a past member of Zion Lutheran Church in Wellington. She was a charter member of Gloria Christi Lutheran Church in Greeley. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, embroidery, flower gardening, canning, baking, reading and raising her eight children.
Mrs. Brothe died Wednesday at North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley.
Survivors: her daughters and their husbands, Lillian Bruntz of Evans, Vera and Carl Rodman of Eaton, Joy and Tom Johnston of Greeley, Linda and Gary Rhoadarmer of Roggen and Fay and Ed Rhoadarmer of Fort Collins; her sons and their wives, Tom and Joy Brothe and Mark and Crystal Brothe, all of Evans, and Paul Brothe of Denver; a sister, Ruby Webb of Ault; a brother, Henry Kanzler of Fort Morgan; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandsons.
Preceded in death by: her husbands, three sisters and five brothers.
Services: 1 p. m. Monday at Gloria Christi Lutheran Church.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley.
Visitation: 4-8 p. m. Sunday at Stoddard Funeral Home.
