Ruby Pearl Webb, 74 of Ault, passed away at her home on July 14, 2012. She was born on September 7, 1937 to Pete and Pauline (Shriner) Kanzler. She married Glen S. Webb on September 10, 1960 in Fort Lupton, CO. He died in 1994.
Ruby was born in Ione, CO but lived most of her life in Hudson. She moved to Greeley in 1986 and then to Ault in 1998.
She worked in respite care for over 42 years.
Ruby enjoyed crocheting, reading, loved animals and collected porcelain dolls. But her biggest joys in life were her grandchildren.
She touched so many lives and with each touch she brought kindness and love. She was referred to as “Mom” by more than just her own children.
She is survived by her children, Delores (Matt) Merrick, Goshen, IN, Gary (Sally ) Webb, Commerce City, Barbara (Kenny) Wilson, Ault, and Ricky (Shelly) Webb, Greeley; grandchildren, Ethan and Abbie Merrick, Tim and Courtney Webb, Gary McWhorter, Jesse Romero, Zakkary and Haylie Webb, Nathaniel Hays, Kathy (Dan) Fleischer, Frances (George) Lauve, Glenn (Kay) Westlake, and Mike (Anna)Westlake; 8 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; and numerous dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Webb, her parents Pete and Pauline Kanzler, a stepdaughter Susy Westlake and siblings, Peter Kanzler, John Kanzler, Elsie Roeder, Henry Kanzler, Caroline Kanzler-Brothe, Konrad Kanzler, Donna Kanzler-Waddell, John Kanzler, Mary Kanzler and Robert Kanzler.
A viewing will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel with a reception to follow the graveside service in the Allnutt Reception Center. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
