Francisco Copado, a World War II Army Veteran passed away peacefully on November 23, 2013 at the age of 89. He was a lifelong resident of El Paso. Following his military service he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad and subsequently retired as security guard from White Sands Missile Range on January, 1986. Fiercely independent, a member of the greatest generation, he is remembered by all as a practical, hardworking man all his life, and for his energetic, jovial and jokester demeanor. Francisco frequently loved to entertain family and friends with humorous stories about life, family or events. Francisco is predeceased by his loving wife Josefina, daughter Cecilia and 4 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by sons Francisco Jr., Gilberto, Hector, daughter Maria Velia, sister Estella and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed but will remain in our hearts forever. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 01, 2013 from 5 pm until 9 pm at Funeraria del Angel Kaster-Maxon & Futrell, 8817 Dyer Street with a Rosary at 6 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at noon, Monday, December 02, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Church followed by internment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 1 pm.
