Oceana County loses another pioneer in the passing of Henry Lambrix who died Friday morning at his home in Pentwater following an illness of long duration.
Henry Lambrix was born in Wayne County in 1860. He came with his parents to Oceana when seven years of age and had since lived in the vicinity of Hart and Pentwater.
Thirty-nine years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Kate Wiegand at hart. The young couple established their home on a farm in Golden Township where they resided for 17 years. Twenty-one years ago they disposed of the farm and came to Penwater establishing themselves in the house which had since been their home.
As long as his health permitted, Mr. Lambrix worked at his trade as carpenter and was actively interested in business affairs of the village for many years. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen.
Left to mourn his loss are his widow and three daughters, Mrs. Ivan C. Kaye of Detroit, Mrs. Henry Woodard of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Mrs. Henry Johnson of Riverton Township, Mason County. Five brothers, Charles, John, and George of Weare Township, Andrew of Hart, Lawrence of Ellensburg, Washington, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Lardie of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Carrie Morrison of Ellensburg, Washington, also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon from the Lambrix home with interment in Hart Cemetery.
