Drake - The funeral will be Sunday at 2 in the Drake Baptist Church for Mrs. Justine Burgemeister, 75, Drake, who died Wednesday in a Harvey hospital where she had been a patient 16 days.
Rev. Howard Amstutz will officiate and burial will be in the family plot of the Kief Cemetery. Bethke Funeral Home, Drake, has charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Burgemeister, who was born Jan. 1, 1890, in Ciucurova, Romania, came to the United States and North Dakota 12 years later with her parents. The family homesteaded south of Kief.
She married Fred Burgemeister April 9, 1911, at Kief, they lived there until 1923, then moved to Drake where she had lived since. Mr. Burgemeister died in May 1951.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Jack (Ann) Olson, Minneapolis, Mrs. John (Bertha) Sprenger and Mrs. Galen (Alice) Jacobson, both of Drake, Mrs. Alvina Garlough, Columbia Falls, Mont. and Mrs. E. A. (Margaret) Jans, Arlington, Minn.; three sons, Albert, Richland, Wash., Harold, Redwood Falls, Minn., and S. Sgt. LeRoy Burgemeister, Tucson Air Force Base, Ariz.; 31 grandchildren and 21
great-grandchildren. A daughter, two stepdaughters, a stepson, four sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
