Mr. Komarek came to this country in 1892 and settled in Saline County and later in Fillmore County. In 1920 he was united in marriage to Marie Kalina. To this union one son was born, who died in infancy.
Mr. Komarek spent most of his life on his farm northeast of Exeter. He became ill August 21 and was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital where he passed away Sept. 16th at the age of 83 years and 3 months.
He was preceded in death by his infant son; one brother, Joseph; and two sisters, Marie and Josephine.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Klemm and Mrs. John Podoyl of Exeter and Mrs. A.M. Krall of St. Louis, Mo., also six nieces and nine nephews living in this county.
The funeral mass was sung by Msgr. Ingenhorst on Sept. 19 and burial was in the Exeter Cemetery.
