ALAMOGORDO - Parks Crews, 86, of Tularosa, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 1995, at Gerald Champion Hospital in Alamogordo.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Cuba Avenue Church of Christ with Arnold Holmes officiating. Interment will follow in Monte Vista Cemetery. Friends may call at Hamilton Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
He was born June 1, 1909, in Wayne County, Tenn. He moved to New Mexico in 1959 and retired as a maintenance supervisor from the National Park Service at Carlsbad Caverns in 1975. He was also a retired farmer.
Mr. Crews moved to Tularosa in 1983 and was a member of the Cuba Avenue Church of Christ in Alamogordo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Crews, in 1988; parents Robert and Nannie Crews; and by three sisters and five brothers.
Survivors include son, James Parks Crews of Los Alamos; daughters, Nannie Sue Clark of Tularosa, and Linda Allen of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five sisters and three brothers.
