Marian, 87, of Carson City, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Carson City Hospital. Jean was the daughter of William and Lena (Wulff) Jorgensen.

She graduated from Lakeview High School and later earned her Bachelor's Degree from Central Michigan University. Jean married Robert Zimmerman on August 21, 1948 in McBride.

She was a teacher for the Central Montcalm School District for many years before retiring in 1986. Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carson City, the M.A.R.S.P. group, the Heritage Village group and the Gideon's International Auxiliary, where she enjoyed giving God's Word to people. Jean enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved all her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years Robert of Carson City, children Rodney (Shez) Zimmerman of St. Johns, Dorrine (Tim) McCormick of Vestaburg, Lois (Manuel) Mejia of Greenville, Ray (Letha) Zimmerman of Greenville, nine grand children and 11 great grandchildren and one on the way. Also sisters Geraldine Christensen, Evelyn Jorgensen, brothers William (Clara) Jorgensen, Ned Jorgensen and many nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Ferne Jorgensen and three sisters Iola Devine, Hazel Smith and Dorothea Ellsworth.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Carson City with Pastor Jim Barrett officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gideon's International or the First Baptist Church of Carson City Building Fund.
