Dorothea married Vernon Benjamin Ellsworth on March 11, 1944 in Lakeview, Michigan. To this union was born a son & a daughter.
During WWII she taught at rural schools in Montcalm county. She also was active in Sunday School and other activities at the Langston Bible Church for 50 years. Dorothea wrote a series of books, referred to as "The Dream Series" and it can still be found on Amazon.com and in other on-line book stores. She also enjoyed sewing and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxilary, Greenville VFW Post #3794. In 2002 she became a member of the Nevins Lake Bible Church.
Dorothea is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, her son-in-law and his wife, grandchildren, great grandchildren & her surviving siblings. Names of survivors are being omitted for their privacy.
Dorothea was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lena; her husband, Vernon; her lovely daughter, Sherolyn Kay Ellaworth Bell ; her step-mother, Ferne Jorgensen; a grandson, Lane Hartwick ; and her sisters, Hazel Smith and Iola Devine.
