Son of Joseph and Frances (Kirshenbaum) Bauer.

Served with the Army Air Force in both World War II and Korea. During World War II, on Okinawa, David sustained wounds that earned him a purple heart.

David was predeceased by two bothers, Bernie and Joe Bauer and a sister, Charlotte Mayhood.

Burial in St. Paul's Cemetery.
