HERMAN HERTH
Funeral services for Herman Herth, age 89 of Fairmont, will be 2 p.m. today in The Zion Lutheran Church of Fairmont. Rev. Timothy Dorsch will officiate. Burial will follow in the garden chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Herman was born June 7, 1913 in Lahoma to George Jacob and Katrina Schwab Herth and died late Sunday evening, April 6, 2003 in Highland Park Manor.
He was a graduate of Lahoma schools and attended a year with Enid Business College.
On May 10, 1936 Herman married Iola Nehring in Lahoma. They farmed in Lahoma, Perry and finally in Fairmont. While farming in Fairmont, he also worked for 5 years with Newman's Department Store during the winters. He retired from farming and moved into Fairmont in 1955 where they lived until his death. In 1958 he went to work for Union Equity Elevator until his retirement in 1978 after 20 years.
Herman is survived by his wife Iola Herth of the home, two sons, Don Herth and his wife Betty of Enid, Marty Herth and his wife Gail of Oklahoma City, a brother, John H. Herth and his wife Vadah of Enid, five grandchildren, Terry Herth and his wife Lorie, Kristy Pendleton and her husband Scott all of Enid, Donolyn Herth of Choctaw, Nicole Herth of Browning, Montana, and Dustin Herth in the U.S. Navy serving in Sasebo, Japan, four great-grandchildren, Shane and Lexie Pendleton, Jacob Herth all of Enid and Eric Walton of Choctaw.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Memorials can be made through the funeral home to Zion Lutheran Church of Fairmont or Hospice Circle of Love. (sic)
