MASLOW, GILDA (NEE NADEL) -ageless at 77 and loved by all who knew her, departed far too soon on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at home in Wildwood Crest. Born in Newark, Gilda spent her life making an extraordinary impact. A very classy lady, Gilda needed no excuse to laugh and was gracious at all times. Survived by five adoring children: Dr. Scott Maslow (Bobbi), Susan Maslow (Dr. Richard Goldhammer), Cary Maslow (Caroline), Matthew Maslow (Abby) and Marc Maslow (Szema) and ten spectacular grandchildren: Adam, Sean, Nicole, Morgan, Justin, Hannah, Max, Talia, Noah and Ian. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fred and Gloria Meltz, her sister-in-law, Janet Maslow, and predeceased by her father and mother, Max and Doris Nadel, her brother, Arthur Nadel and her beloved husband of 55 years, Irving Maslow. Gilda was an active Board Member of Beth Judah Temple, a regular at the gym and an enthusiastic bridge, rummy cube, and mah-jong player. Able to connect with people from all walks of life, Gilda was a woman of great intellectual curiosity, dignity, beauty and charm. A role model as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Gilda inspired us with her zeal for life, her commitment to family and friends and her belief that perfection was truly attainable. Ever evolving, as a life-long learner, a tennis player, an award winning runner, a weight lifter, doing cross-word puzzles, baking one of her world famous banana breads or carrot cakes, Gilda always looked fabulous. She was our Donna Reed, Jackie O and Julia Child. Gilda, Gil, Mom, Granny, Gigi -- you will be missed beyond words. Services will be held at Noon on Thursday, May 15th at Beth Judah Temple in Wildwood. Interment will be at Beth Kehilla Cemetery in Pleasantville. Friends and relatives are invited back to the Maslow home in Wildwood Crest where the family will sit shiva. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beth Judah Temple, Pacific and Spencer Avenue, Wildwood, NJ. Arr. Ingersoll-Greenwood.
