George Smyth and Rebecca McAllister were married at West Wawanosh, Huron County, Ontario on Oct. 17, 1877. Rebecca listed her place of birth as Quebec, and her parents as David and Elizabeth McAllister. Rebecca was living at West Wawanosh at the time of her marriage.

Cheadle Resident Taken By Death
Resident of the Cheadle district for the past 25 years, Mrs. Rebecca Smyth, 84 years of age, died Thursday evening at her home.
Born in Ontario, the late Mrs. Smyth came to Cheadle district in 1910. She is survived by a son, D. A. at Cheadle, and three daughters, Mrs. W. T. Hunt of Winnipeg, Mrs. R. Agar of Seaforth, Ontario and Mrs. D. A. Mackinnon in Ottawa.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 3:30 at Foster & Foster's funeral parlors, the Rev. Dr. Kelloway conducting the service.
Interment was made in the Union Cemetery at Calgary.
